Jovan Adepo (Upper Heyford, 6 de setembre de 1988) és un actor britànic-estatunidenc.[1] Es va mudar als 2 anys amb la seva família a Waldorf, Maryland. I és on va començar a actuar en obres escolars i de l'església. Posteriorment va assistir a la Universitat Estatal de Bowie on va rebre la llicenciatura en ciències polítiques i filosofia.[2]
Adepo es va formar com actor sota la tutela d'una varietat d'instructors, incloent Lorrie i Dianne Hull de l'Actors Studio.[2]
Va formar part de Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's All in the Family and The Jeffersons. Va interpretar el paper de Lionel Jefferson.[3] L'equip es va emportar l'Emmy Especial de Varietat Excel·lent (En directe).[4] També va protagonitzar Fences (2016), com a Cory Maxson al costat de Viola Davis i Denzel Washington.[5][6]
El 2017, va aparèixer com el personatge central a Overlord.[7][8] El mateix any Adepo va actuar en la pel·lícula de terror Mother! de Darren Aronofsky.[9]
Va interpretar l'Anton McCray adult en When They See Us (2019), nominada a un Emmy.[3] També va actuar com Larry Underwood en una nova versió de The Estand (2019) de Stephen King.[10] Va aparèixer a la pel·lícula independent inèdita anomenada Violent Heart (2020).[4] Va protagonitzar Babylon (2022) representant a Sidney Palmer.[11] I a Mackenzie a Misantropo (2023).[12]
A Adepo, a més a més el varen nomenar un dels "Dazed 100" de la revista Dazed.[13]
